History

A Brief History of the C.C.T.C.

The "Cross Country Tracking Club" is a non-profit organization, located in Southern Ontario, Canada, founded in 1996. Many of our club members have between five to thirty years of experience in Tracking.

The objectives of the CCTC are to hold tracking tests, to introduce new people to the sport of tracking, to have the opportunities to track as a group and learn by helping each other.

The founding members attending this meeting were: M.-P. Babin, S. A. Coombs, E. Fisher, E. Grierson, H. Kellman, D. Kirkaldy, M. Warwick, and B. Wiggans. At this initial meeting the club's name ("Cross Country Tracking Club") and club colours ("hunter green and grey") were unanimously chosen.

The Club was officially recognized by the CKC on November 1, 1996.
